Global warming is caused due to greenhouse gases. Emission of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and much more do not allow the excess heat from the Earth to escape which results in increase in the temperature of Earth. This is called global warming.

As we know, as the temperature of the Earth increases, the thermal expansion of water increases i.e., melting of ice which results in rising of sea level.

Simply, we can say that due to global warming, the sea level rises which will be devastating causes floods in the low-lying or coastal areas. This affects animals, humans, land of the place severely where it takes a lot of time to recover.
