Air containing oxygen is essential for burning the flame. To prove the same, please follow the instructions below.
  • Take and fix two candles on a table
  • Lit both candles
  • Later, cover one candle with a transparent glass to observe
  • After a while, you can observe flame will go out
  • The candle which was lit and without glass continue flaming.

The candle which was closed with a glass after litting was stopped after a while because, it consumed the air which was there in the glass, once the oxygen in the air evacuated, flame was stopped. Thus, it proves that air is needed for burning the flame.
